Miletus is around one hour drive from Ephesus Ancient City. Today there is not a lot left from old Miletus, which used to be one of the greatest port cities with its three ports. Theatre and Roman Baths of Miletus should not be missed when one visits the city. Miletus used to be a trading city which gained great richess from colonies. As we know colonies of Miletus used to reach modern Ukraine and Russia. An unfortunate earthquake which hit the city on 4th century A.D. forced people to abondon Miletus.
